The Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 76-set is the classic flagship configuration of the line — 76 colors covering nearly the entire open-stock range, built for professional fine artists working across botanical illustration, large-scale landscape drawing, and complex figurative work. The breadth of color allows for high tonal contrast with clean transitions, without needing to manually mix the majority of mid-tones. Two Full Blender Bright sticks are included for high-gloss polishing and advanced blending.

The 3.8mm heavy-pigment wax core glides over paper grain with a rich, buttery delivery and no wax bloom — even under extreme layering. All 76 colors are certified under the ASTM D-6901 lightfastness standard. Housed in a premium metal storage box with tiered layout trays that keep every tip protected.

  • Are the Full Blender Bright sticks suitable for all paper types? They work best on smooth to medium-tooth fine art papers. On heavily textured papers, the blender may not fully flatten pencil grain — lighter pressure and multiple passes are recommended.
