The Moleskine Classic Large Ruled Expanded is the high-volume edition of the softcover ruled range — 400 numbered pages in the same A5-equivalent 13 x 21 cm format, built for prolific writers, academic researchers, and legal directors who go through standard-volume notebooks at pace. The expanded spine is engineered to open completely flat at 180° despite the high page density — a meaningful design consideration given that most high-page-count notebooks develop significant spine resistance in the second half of the book. Dual ribbon markers allow simultaneous tracking across two sections — useful for writers who cross-reference between active and archived entries within a single volume.

At 400 pages the Expanded runs more than double the standard softcover edition, reducing how frequently volumes need replacing without adding rigid weight. The flexible black leather-grained cover keeps carry bulk low despite the increased capacity. 70 g/m² acid-free, pH-neutral ivory paper, oversized expandable rear pocket included.
