The defining trait of the DR Drawing Pen is permanence: once the pigment-based ink dries on the page, it's fully waterproof, lightfast, and fade-resistant, meaning you can run watercolor washes or alcohol-based markers straight over your inked lines without any bleeding or smearing. That's what separates it from a standard fineliner and makes it the choice for architects, mapmakers, and comic inkers who ink first and add color later. A patented internal ink circulation system keeps the tip saturated even through long capping intervals, so it won't dry out and skip after sitting unused. The polyacetal tip sits in a metal support collar that resists snapping or flattening under sustained pressure, which matters for straight-edge and template work where the tip drags against a ruler edge repeatedly.

Available across six tip sizes, from 0.05 mm for ultra-fine detail tracking up to 0.8 mm for bold outline and border work.
