The Uni Pin Fine Line Black is a technical fineliner sold individually across 14 line widths, from an ultra-fine 0.03 mm needle point up to a 1.0–3.0 mm chisel tip, covering everything from microscopic detail work to broad lettering strokes within one product line. The tip is a polyacetal core inside an extended steel needle-guide sleeve, which keeps the nib protected and makes it easy to track straight along a ruler, stencil, or drafting template without the ink catching or splattering against the edge.

The ink is uni-ball's "Super Ink," a water-based black pigment that sets waterproof and fade-resistant within seconds of touching the page. That speed and permanence matter for layout work specifically — pencil guidelines drawn underneath can be erased completely clean once the ink is dry, without smudging or lifting the inked lines themselves.
